signing agent

FD-258 card conversion for apostille agents.

Your client needs an FBI background report before you can have it apostilled. Send me the prints — I convert the card and submit it electronically within 24 business hours of receipt. You keep the client, the markup, and the relationship.

Pre-ship FP quality check

US citizens only. Applicants must hold US citizenship and provide a US driver’s license or state ID. Please qualify your client before you ship — it saves you a wasted cycle.

The problem

You don't need your own submission setup to offer this.

Standing up electronic FBI submission means an approval process, software, hardware and recurring cost — for a service most apostille agents need a handful of times a month. Route it to me instead.

You keep the client

I work behind you, not around you. I don't market to your client, and I don't solicit their apostille work. The relationship stays yours. I value our relationship!

No account, no software, no minimum

Nothing to set up and nothing to maintain. One job or twenty a month — same flat price, same process.

Free print quality check first

Email me a scan before anything ships. I review it against FBI CJIS standards and tell you to reprint or proceed — before your client has paid for postage twice.

Flat pricing you can mark up

Published partner pricing, so you can quote your client on the phone without waiting on me for a number.

Process

Six steps, start to result.

Nothing here is a surprise. You’ll know exactly what to tell your client before you take the job.

01

Submit the job form

Your details and the shape of the job — how many applicants, how you’d like to send, when you need it. No applicant personal information on this form.

02

I send the intake packet

Everything you will need,  the Client Information Sheet, packaging and print-quality guides, the service disclaimer, and forms for submitting your applicant’s personal information.

03

Capture the prints on FD-258

Print two Cards  — cheap insurance against one being light or smudged. Both the applicant and the person rolling the prints must sign. Black ink only.

04

Email me a scan for a free quality check

Before anything ships. I check the scan against FBI CJIS legibility standards and tell you plainly: reprint, or proceed. This is the single biggest cause of lost time in this process, and it costs you nothing to avoid it.

05

Mail the originals

You mail the original cards, and I convert from those. I invoice on receipt, and work begins once it’s settled.

06

Submitted, then the report is delivered

I convert your clients FD-258 cards and submit within 24 business hours of receiving a the  job & the invoice is paid. The FBI response goes to your applicant by a secure one-time pickup link — read the delivery rules below and brief your client before you start.

Getting it to me

How to send.

Package up and mail the pre-approved fingerprints.

Mail the originals

Always accepted — flat envelope only

Shipping risk is yours. You choose the carrier and service. I’m not responsible for packages that are lost, delayed, misrouted, or damaged in transit, and replacement cards or re-shipping are at your cost.

Start a job

Tell me about the job — not about your client.

This form collects your details and the shape of the work. Your applicant’s personal information comes later, through a secure link, never through a web form.

Deliberately no personal data here. This form will never ask for your applicant’s Social Security number, date of birth, or physical description. Those go on the Client Information Sheet, which I send you after we’ve engaged.

Prefer to talk it through first? Use WhatsApp to contact me.

Turnaround

What I control, and what I don't.

I’ll commit to my part in writing. The rest is the FBI’s clock and the carrier’s clock, and nobody can promise you those.

Within 24 business hours

From a clean, paid, complete job in hand to submitted. This is the part I control and the part I stand behind.

About 8 hours

The most common outcome once a submission is in. Observed responses have ranged from a few minutes to several days.

Up to 3 days

It can take up to 72 hrs for reports to be returned to the client. Unusual? Yes but it does happen. Typically Faster.

Sent to Your Clients Personal Email

All FBI Reports are delivered to your clients personal email address.

All times above are estimates, not guarantees. Postal and carrier delays, system outages, high volume, and agency backlogs can extend processing beyond these figures. I’m not liable for missed deadlines caused by shipping or agency processing times. Build a buffer into what you promise your client.

Print quality

Rejected prints are the #1 cause of blown deadlines.

Rejection is billable — a second submission is a new job at full price. So the quality check is free, and I’d rather you use it twice than skip it once.

Terms in plain language

Read this before you ship.

  • Shipping is your risk. You choose the carrier. I’m not responsible for lost, delayed, misrouted, or damaged packages, and replacement or re-shipping costs are yours.
  • Rejection is still billable. I submit the prints provided. If they’re rejected for quality or any other reason, fees apply and a resubmission is a new job.
  • All times are estimates. Shipping, processing, and report turnaround figures are estimates, never guarantees, and I’m not liable for missed deadlines caused by carrier or agency delays.
  • Fees are non-refundable once work has started — including if the application is denied, requirements change, or the job is cancelled.
  • No guarantee of outcome. I capture, convert, and submit. I don’t control or influence whether prints are accepted, what the result says, or how long the agency takes.
  • Accuracy is on you. Correct applicant information, the right cards and forms for the requesting agency, and confirming that card scanning is accepted for the purpose.
  • Personal information is handled solely to perform the requested service, and is shared with the FBI and appropriate channel partners as part of the background check process.
  • Not legal advice. I don’t decide which type of background check you or your client need. Direct legal and regulatory questions to the licensing board or an attorney.
Questions

What agents ask me.

No. That's the point of the service. You send me the prints and the completed information sheet; I handle the conversion and the electronic submission. There's nothing for you to sign up for, install, or maintain.

Not through this service. This is a US citizen only service and requires a US driver's license or state ID. If you have a foreign national who needs an FBI report, contact me before you take the job and I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.

Service fees still apply — I scanned and submitted what was provided. A new card and a second submission are treated as a new job and billed separately. This is exactly why the pre-ship quality check is free: use it, and rejection becomes rare.

Two to three. Print multiple FD-258 forms and take a full set on each. It costs almost nothing at capture time and saves an entire mail-and-reprint cycle when the first set comes out light or smudged.

Yes, but it's a separate service with its own fee schedule, $90 per document, FBI Background Checks only.

This page covers FBI Identity History Summary submissions. State-level and agency-specific checks work differently and use different demographic forms — ask me before you commit to a client on one

No. I'm an apostille agent too — I know exactly how that feels. I don't market to your client and I don't solicit their downstream work.
