RON? Who is Ron? RON is short for Remote Online Notary. RON systems allow a Notary Public to notarize documents electronically through the use of a digital signature and electronic notary seal to notarize digital documents and validate with a digital certificate.

How Does the “Remote Online Notary” System Work?

For the consumer, the process is simple and requires no software other than a good internet connection, a computer with the Chrome web browser, a Web Camera, and a microphone. Before your session begins you’ll need to pass through a couple of security questions to validate the signer and upload your government-issued ID.

Now you can work with the Remote Online Notary to sign, date, and initial your documents appropriately, and then the notary will electronically notarize your document. The completed document is simply emailed to you for your records.
